Historic Views of Mexico City

When thinking of Mexico it is easy to automatically think of laid back beautiful beaches and  margaritas. However, with a capital city of nearly nine million people, Mexico City dominates North America as the largest city on the continent. The city itself is huge with plenty of unique neighborhoods and areas to explore.

The Plaza de la Constitución, the massive main square known as the Zócalo in the Centro Histórico, is full of life and beautiful buildings. Grab a bite and a drink at El Balcón del Zócalo , a fabulous rooftop terrace with stunning views of the Cathedral Metropolitana. Not only can you view the Spanish gothic inspired architecture from the late 1500s, but there’s also beautiful flowers and plants along the balcony that add to the view and ambience. This rooftop restaurant is a must-do on any trip to Mexico City! Stop here for breakfast or for an evening drink to watch the plaza light up – you won’t regret it!

Tip: Order the guacamole – it is hand made on a cart in front of you!
