Buenos Aires – The Latino Sandwich Secret

This Tip has been suggested by our South America based Explorer: Katharine Biggs

Known for its European vibes, it’s easy to get lost in the charm of Buenos Aires. If you’re like me and most travellers, and find yourself here on a tight budget then you should definitely head to Latino Sandwich, a small but mighty sandwich shop tucked away just off the Main Street: Avenida de Mayo.

With an extensively mouthwatering selection of sandwiches and salads to choose from, all freshly made in store and with the options of adding hand-cut chips too – there’s something for everyone here. The best bit? Their daily (perhaps more South American inspired) selection of specials which include burritos, pasta, rice and curries.

With each dish setting you back no more than $6 USD, you can see why we’ve recommended it to everyone we’ve met on our travels. I promise you won’t be disappointed if you take a trip to enjoy the fresh delicacies of this hidden gem.

An extra bonus? Just around the corner is a pretty park where you can sit and enjoy your lunch in the shade before heading out to sightsee. For an ideal afternoon I suggest you do the BA Bike Tour of the south of the city to gain a rich historical knowledge of the great Argentinian capital!
