Florence, Italy. The Capital of Italian Language, where Dante and the best exponents of Italian Poetry were born and have sketched the tracks of an immortal culture. One of the best cities for art and food, laid down on the Chianti wine region.
In the San Frediano area, away from the main touristic corners of the city, crops up a cozy corner of dreamy organic food and natural wine. Vivanda is indeed a small restaurant, but popular among gourmet lovers offering vegetables, wine, fresh pasta and IGP oil from his production alongside cheese and meat from local livestocks.
The menu ranges from starters to desserts to satisfy any kind of taste and curiosity adding a twist: fruity risotto, cheese and thyme meatballs with caramelized pears and honey, various selections of cold cuts and cheeses from Tuscany, ravioli stuffed with figs, walnuts and citrons, accompanied with azuki sauces or blueberry and melograno…every match seems to take care of colours and seasonality, creating food poetry. Everything combined with a selection of more than a hundred wines, among which I suggest local ones, produced by the Dalle Nostre Mani company. Tried and tested by Tiplr Peeps!
It is better to book in advance: this gem is really small and often very full…maybe because quality-price ratio is excellent too!
