Brooklyn – So Much More Than a Park

The city describes it as “an evolving public park” which is a nice way to say it is constantly under construction. Don’t let this discourage you though! Interspersed between sections of equipment and workers, you’ll find a variety of outdoor activities, including playgrounds, basketball courts, bocce courts, handball courts, swimming pools and bike paths.

Find a shady nook to read in on the Granite Terrace. Ride Jane’s Carousel. See a show at St. Ann’s Warehouse. Cool off with a Lizzmonade during the summer or enjoy a glass of vino as the sun sets at the Garden Bar. Catch some classical music on the Barge. Watch a sci fi flick with an unbeatable view. In the summer you can even rent a kayak for free! The possibilities are endless at this park!

Since this park is always evolving, 2016 will see a bevy of new features including a new garden, DUMBO Boulders, a community marina dock, a new concession stand and a circus!
