Dublin – Easter Rising!

The Easter Rising Commemoration has been eagerly anticipated by the public and most of Ireland as the country awaits celebration plans for the centenary of the event that took place in 1916. For those unaware, the anniversary marks 100 years since Irish Nationalists claimed the establishment of Ireland as a Republic, and fought against British Governing  in their country… Although many were executed for their violent rebellion, Irish citizens are mostly under the opinion that the executed, considered martyrs, were responsible for establishing the 1922 treaty that declared Ireland a free state, as it stands today.

Anyway, now the history lesson is over and regardless of your political stance on the Republic status of Ireland, Tiplr is urging anyone in Ireland in Spring (April-May) to get stuck and join ’em as Ireland celebrates an integral part of their history! Get ready for a nationwide celebration not worth missing. It’s certainly worth making the most of it if you’re lucky enough to be around to party with the Irish at this time! It will be unforgettable to see an already patriotic country celebrate their culture and history in the Capital City of Dublin.

So what’s in store? Dublin Centre will be going all out on Easter Weekend. Think marching bands, military shows, streamers, fanfares, street parades… streets flooded with the bright emerald and vibrant orange colours of the flag. What’s best? The admission cost is entirely free for all the events. All you need is your camera and you’re ready to experience everything and anything Irish and traditional. What better way to immerse yourself in the rich culture of the country.
